Thoughtful design has the power to tell a story, evoke emotion, and elevate a product. My recent collaboration with Manuko, a premium organic chocolate brand, was an opportunity to do just that—creating packaging that showcases Australia’s unique native ingredients and landscape.
A Special Edition Honouring Native Australian Ingredients
This limited-release Native Botanical Hot Chocolate – Anise Myrtle, 60% Dark was designed to celebrate Australian ingredients in a refined and elegant way. The packaging needed to complement Manuko’s existing branding, while standing out as a unique edition. To achieve this, I incorporated:
-
Hand-drawn botanical elements – Featuring the Anise Myrtle plant, with its delicate white flowers and distinctive leaves, as the central motif.
-
Natural, earthy hues – Inspired by Australia’s the Anise Myrtle plant and the rich warmth of Australian earth.
-
A layered design approach – Ensuring the artwork remained impactful even if the outer tube was removed.

The Role of Illustration & Packaging in Brand Storytelling
As a graphic designer and illustrator, I love working on projects that allow me to merge illustration, storytelling, and branding. Packaging is more than just a container—it’s the first impression of a product, a tactile experience that connects people to what’s inside.
For Manuko, the goal was to create a design that not only looked beautiful but also resonated with customers who appreciate nature, quality craftsmanship, and the essence of Australian botanicals.
Designing for Local and Ethical Brands

Whether it’s custom packaging design, product branding, or botanical illustration, I enjoy collaborating with local businesses. If you're a brand looking to bring a unique, thoughtful touch to your packaging or branding, I’d love to hear from you!
